The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences is one of the largest Faculties at the Somali National University and arguably most significant, in terms of its contribution to national human resource development in fields related to business and public policy.
The Faculty aims to continuously strengthen its position as the leading institution in the fields of economic, financial, and management sciences as well as statistics and planning and offers a unique learning experience which takes place in a conducive environment delivered by a team of dedicated faculty staff, distinguished full-time professors who have a proven track record as researchers and senior educators who are keen to develop the students’ natural desire for knowledge and equip them with the requisite skills to explore opportunities and potentiality, inspire learners and contribute creative ideas to navigate through the challenges of the modern world.
The skills developed in the faculty help our students and graduates find placement in a diverse range of their professional fields. Faculty graduates currently have successful careers in both public and private sector industries such as government institutions, international development organizations and private industries and businesses.
The Faculty always strives to facilitate relevant teaching and learning programmes and meaningful learning experiences that are, in accordance with best practices, innovative and prepare our students optimally within their respective spheres of interest and aims in the near future establish an excellent research center that promotes growth trends in the faculty to produce an outstanding research work that is published in the highest impact outlets possible and solves daunting challenges faced by both public and private sectors.
The faculty also fosters and sustains a diverse, inclusive and equitable student teaching and non-teaching staff community.
